CODECRAFT
CodeCraft is the online submission event of Computer Science - Information Technology at NOESIS -09. It is the online coding and designing event to be organized to give a platform to the young innovative coders and designers all over the country to come together and compete in a ruthless battle of brains.
The participants are required to submit their codes and designs online before the deadline. Different problem statements of coding and designing will be given.
The participants have to understand and grasp these problem statements and submit their solution. These problem statements are thought provoking and challenge the coder to come up with the most simple, innovative and efficient solutions.
It is rightly said:
The healthiest competition occurs when average people win by putting above average effort.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
As specified earlier Codecraft is basically a combination of two types of Problem Statements:
1.1 Coding
The problem statements under this category require hardcore coding as their solution. The usage of Program Language is not a bar i.e. the solution to the problem can be coded in any of the given programming language the participant is comfortable in like C, C++ and Java. The codes to working program solutions are to be submitted before deadline.
The submitted codes are judged on two factors:
1. How effective is the coded program in providing a solution to the given problem statement.
2. How efficient is the program code.
1.2 Designing
The problem statements under this category are practical day to day scenarios which require a need for the development of a new application as solution. Here the participants are EXPECTED to code actual software for the solution of the problem. Problem statement will be uploaded by 31st Aug.
The submitted ideas (designs) are judged on two factors:
1. How effectively the designed application addresses the problem specified in the problem statement.
2. How efficient, innovative and practically applicable is the idea (design) of the application.
1.3 Rules
1. Your code should be submitted before 3rd September, 12am on noesis.manit@gmail.com .
2. Code can be in C, C++, and Java programming language.
3. Submit your solution with complete working code and output.
4. Marks will be awarded on the basis of your logic, simplicity, level and time of submission.
5. Try to submit max programs.
6. Send all the programs together.
7. One entry per person.
8. There will be no entry fees.
9. Final decision will be of organisers.
